I provide psychological support for individuals preparing for bariatric surgery, adjusting to life after surgery, or navigating medical weight-loss pathways.
Clients may self-refer or be referred by their GP, surgeon, nurse, or dietitian. Support may include comprehensive pre-operative bariatric assessments, as well as ongoing psychological care to assist with the emotional, behavioural, and lifestyle changes associated with treatment.
Weight-management treatment can involve significant physical and emotional adjustment. Sessions may focus on areas such as eating behaviours, emotional eating, body image concerns, motivation, behaviour change, and differences in self-regulation and patterns of thinking that can influence day-to-day habits.
Using evidence-based psychological approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and support a healthier and more balanced relationship with food, eating, and overall wellbeing.
